I was biking to get a sandwich the other day and a bicyclist coming the other way waved at me as we passed. And I waved back. That’s what bicyclists do. Because…well, because we’re in the minority on the roadways. It’s an us against them (drivers) kind of attitude. Though most bicyclists like myself are also drivers. It’s just that once you’re on the bike you leave the driver persona behind I guess.
And it’s warm here in Boston and today being the last Friday of the month means that the Critical Mass folks are staging their once a month bike party. Well, not a party, not a demonstration, a gathering I guess. I’ve seen these folks riding en masse in the streets of Boston a few times and have always wanted to join. Today’s the day.
